Growing up in the mid-west, Ruth adored pouring over books about Gods and heroes and going on camping trips with her family. After earning an art degree, getting married and trying a career in the role-playing industry as an illustrator, she realized that “playing it safe” was just not for her. So, she squashed her love of fantasy, art, camping and horses into a new career at Renaissance Festivals and a remarried an Aussie she met through an MMORPG. Ruth’s loves attending shows and festivals and painting or drawing through the day: “There is nothing to compare with the excitement and energy that I am infused with after spending a day having people watching me paint, asking questions, pondering the next brushstroke and sharing in the frustrations and pleasure of actual creation.”
