After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

This has been fun to work on! Interesting size/dimensions. Takes a little maneuvering on my easel, but not too bad because it's so skinny. Colors are not bright, but there are a lot of different ones and each section I work on brings new surprises.

The colors are amazing, every time I purchase a kit from DAC I can’t stop to be shocked! The colors are so vibrant, the size of the canvas will keep me entertained for couple of weeks.

This was the biggest kit I’ve done so far and I loved it. There was a lot of AB colorblocking and lineblocking that really made the waves pop but took a lot of time since I use tweezers. Either way I loved all of the colors especially the blues.
