Ready To Colorblock!

This piece is color blocking heaven for those that love it. I like a good mix of both blocking and confetti but I thoroughly enjoyed this canvas. The quality is top notch as always and even though it was a lot of color blocking, the design was so much fun!

Worked up fast (22 hrs) - great gift!

I did this canvas as a gift. I usually have one large canvas and one smaller one going at the same time. This was my small one for a couple weeks.

This design was fun and sunny; never thought of Mickey as having yellow skin, but it works here. I'm not typically a fan of color blocking - there's almost nothing BUT in this piece - but it wasn't as much of a chore as I usually find it. I enjoyed making checkerboard designs on this one. :) The recipient is a huge Mickey fan and had family who surfed, so this was a perfect piece for them.

I used a 23"×24" frame and black acrylic paint for the border. The black edge really sets off the fairy dust diamonds and the ABs. Helped get me in the mood for warmer weather, that's for sure!
