After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

I loved this piece by Dakota Daetwiler! The placement of the special diamonds really made this piece shine, like the ABs and the fairy dust in the northern lights and especially with the quad cubes and the iridescent diamonds. One of my favourite pieces I've worked on.
