After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

Dakota Daetwiler is one of my favorite artists and this painting turned out absolutely gorgeous! Everything was perfect as usually. I did have some trash in the 939s but had plenty to complete the canvas with extra. Love this one! Thank you for another great experience DAC!
