I had so much fun with this one. I usually hate when there is so much black but I just loved the picture so I gave it a chance. It did not disappoint. I love the sparkle.

Nene began her professional career as a watercolorist in 1994. She was soon approached by Wizards of the Coast and hired to contribute work to the collectible card game “Magic: The Gathering”. Several years later, she branched out on her own as a print artist, experimenting with digital art and painting only the things she wanted to paint. She finds inspiration for from a variety of sources, but the vast majority comes from a story she has been working on since high school. “The Zarryiostrom”, her most intensely personal project, is an epic fantasy series that she tricked her poor, unwitting husband, Steven Plagman, into writing. All told, there will be nine books in the series, each containing 20 paintings by Nene.

Diamond Art Club has a wonderful product, but I always seem to have issues with very thin glue. The canvas texture is showing through the glue surface in many areas so the drills do not stick. This has been an ongoing problem for years. It appears that the clear cover was put on and the canvas rolled before the glue properly set up. This creates "rivers" where the glue is pushed away from folds in the cover. Please fix.

I usually do not go for darker colors but I love this image and it does have pops of bright colors. I am very pleased with this purchase. I have not purchased the new boxes yet because have so many. I received my first collector card too!
