After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

Snow Tiger was a joy to work on. I had plenty of drills and they fit nicely. This Tiger just looks so serene looking up at the snow. His eye is just beautiful, love the green. I am looking forward to completing my next canvas.
