My life with kitties is never dull.I never thought I would be doing paintings of cats. After we got our first cat, Miss Joshua, many ideas began to evolve. She inspired a whole new direction in my work. Up to that point, I was primarily focused on creating fantasy art. My background is illustration, art direction and game design. Im most known for my painting and art direction on the Mystery Case Files series of hidden object / adventure games published by Big Fish Games. My work has been published by major corporations such as Disney, Pixar, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, EA Games, Blizzard/Activision, Big Fish Games, American Airlines, Texas Instruments, Pepsi-cola, Frito-lay and Bic pens. I spend most of my time painting images of my world inspired by my cats. My work developed from strong influences of Art Nouveau, Classical Realism, and a well developed sense of childlike Haynie wonder. Stories emerge as I work usually pointing to a symbolic message to inspire hope and faith.

the only negative i have is that the perforations on the cover sheet did not tear well. i haven't done enough paintings to know if that was any sort of issue with the specific kit or just a random thing so i don't take away from the review, but wanted to point out the slight issue. the artwork is very cool and the rendering is fantastic. i quite enjoyed the beautiful color palette and did not find it tedious or boring at all. quite fun watching this cool catdaddy come alive.

Lots more browns and pinks than I was expecting. Was thinking it was more gray scale. The details on this are amazing and the drills fit together like a dream. Love the way the fairy dust and ABs were charted in this one.
