After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

When I look at this painting I can almost feel the tranquility. I imagine listening to the waterfall while watching the beautiful sunset colors. This painting has a good mix of confetti and color blocking. The colors are absolutely beautiful. Such a gorgeous painting!

A beautiful painting by Dakota Daetwiler. The first Diamond Art Club kit I bought was a kit by her named “Spirits”, picrured below. I love her nature and animal paintings. Once I bought from DAC and experienced the quality of their kits and their customer service/support I don’t buy from anywhere else!
This one “Waterfall Sunset” is bright and inviting to me. I also buy many landscape and animals pictures - the beautiful world God created! I am 78 and hope I live long enough to finish all the kits I have in my stash 35 so far.
